Minor in Mathematics

A minor in mathematics may be obtained by successful completion of 26 hours in mathematics courses consisting of MATH 1950, 1960, 1970, and four mathematics courses at the 2000- (excluding MATH 2200), 3000-, or 4000-level (including STAT 3800). All MATH/CSCI cross-listed crosses qualify, but credit will not be given for both MATH 2230 and CSCI 2030. For majors that require 20-23 math credit hours, it is possible to obtain a math minor relatively easily with very few additional courses.

Students earning a minor in mathematics must obtain the appropriate form from the mathematics department (DSC 204). The completed and signed form must be submitted to the Registrar’s office.
